Laser Alignment
Why Align?
It is essential for any rotating machine that uses some kind of coupling that the shafts comply with alignment tolerances, since failure to comply with these tolerances leads to a number of early defects in the mechanical system.
Engefaz uses the most modern technology and the highest reliability, so that aligned equipment achieves the best performance that the system can generate.
Laser Alignment
All transmission couplings have limits with an allowable range for misalignment, within which they operate without occurring or causing unwanted failures.
Even when operating within these limits, these couplings offer resistance to bending.
This resistance normally increases in proportion to the misalignment and thus influences the fluctuation of the load on the bearing with the rotation of the shaft. Excessive vibrations, abnormal wear or problems with mechanical seals are often caused by non-compliance with the alignments carried out.
In some cases, misalignments can cause much more serious damage such as shaft, coupling and/or bearing breakages, which can even lead to the complete destruction of the equipment.
Dynamic balancing in the field
Why Balance?
Every rotating body needs to be balanced in order to find an ideal working condition (in which vibration is undesirable), minimizing the effect of unbalanced centrifugal force.
Casting faults, porosity, machining errors, backlash, axial and radial knocking, ovalization, design faults, etc. all contribute significantly to the increase in vibration due to unbalance.
Performing dynamic balancing in the field provides a safe and economically viable correction, reducing vibration levels to admissible ranges and increasing the useful life of the equipment.
The great advantage of this method is the drastic reduction in the time the equipment would be unavailable for production if it had to be moved to an external workshop to be balanced.
Defects that can be avoided:
Bearing wear Gear wear Compromising the fixation and rigidity of the system Fatigue failure in internal components Excessive noise Ovalization Bearing wear
